Dr. Madeline Castle is an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Counseling at Mississippi State University and serves as Co-PI on this project, leading the family engagement and support components of the curriculum and intervention. She holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of South Carolina, an MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University, and a BS in Educational Psychology from MSU.
Her clinical background spans community and university settings, including providing live-in support, mentorship, and counseling within inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Her research focuses on holistic wellness, counseling approaches, qualitative methods, and best practices in supporting students with disabilities, particularly within IPSE settings. Dr. Castle has co-authored several publications and book chapters exploring the experiences of college students with disabilities.
